On Valentines Day, February 14th 2022, I started the Isagenix nutrition program. At 55 years old, I weighed 251 pounds. By applying the nutrition program and combining three fasting protocols, I successfully lost 30 pounds in 90 days. With my background, I took the original Isagenix plan and tweaked it by adding intermittent fasting in with their normal protocol, and the fat burning process was literally “off the chart”. While my fat% dropped, my muscle mass % increased, which according to modern “experts” and fitness enthusiasts is not supposed to happen. Typically when you deprive calories, you lose mass (fat & muscle). However, I found that fasting helps preserve muscle mass, and I will share why in this guide.
Before we get started, I wanted to share with you that not only do I believe in the physical and mental benefits of clean eating and fasting, but I am a walking billboard that the nutrition and fasting protocols I share with you really work – and work fast! Pun intended.
My professional background in medical sales and medical manufacturing, along with extensive knowledge in blood chemistry, hormone diagnostics, autoimmune disorders and natural medical alternatives, gives me a medical perspective most people don’t have unless you have a DO or MD at the end of your name.
My personal background of a biology/life science degree combined with being a college athlete, personal trainer, nutritional expert, weight-loss coach and life-long advocate for healthy eating and daily exercise lifestyle gives me the coaching background needed to explain complicated topics in a simplified way. I use my medical and personal background to help motivate people to set new health and wellness goals, change their eating habits and their workout habits to be the best version of themselves.
When coaching clients, the word “fasting” or “cleanse” tends to freak people out because more than 95% of my clients have never fasted before. The fear of the unknown tends to scare the common person because they don’t know what they don’t know. However, with the knowledge I present here in this Fasting Guide, I intend to enhance your understanding and simplify the process to help you feel more comfortable about fasting and all of its amazing health benefits.
